2000's and Now Music

Music has changed in many ways over the years. In just one decade from the 90's to the 2000's music took a drastic turn. The 90's was the decade of the boy bands, but the 2000's is the years of  every music type possible. In the past few years there has been hit from every type of music from pop to rap. Some of the biggest bands, groups, or individuals in my opinion are The Black Eyed Peas, Paramore, Taylor Swift and of course who could forget the biggest money makers of them all The Jonas Brothers. Each one of these musical artist are from different categories of music.

The Black Eyed Peas are one of the most known hip-hop groups ever. They keep putting out hit after hit. Every album they make sells millions. One of the biggest hits was one of the first ones they released. It was Wheres The Love this song had the four Black Eyed Peas (Fergie, Will.I.Am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo) featuring Justin Timberlake. The song became a anthem for peace and love and still is today.

Paramore was a small band from Franklin, Tennessee that burst on to the scene with a bang. The first single they released was Pressure, a song for all the stressed out young adults in the world. The band consists of five members Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis, Josh Farro, Zac Farro, And Taylor York. Paramore is a band that has a fan fallowing that you can't compare to anything. They keep putting out hits that will be around forever.

In 2006 this artist came into the music world doing something that was unheard of since the earlier years. Taylor Swift wrote, played and sang her own music. She set records like selling out the Staple center in LA in three minutes and Madison Square Garden in two minute. Taylor's first hit was Tim McGraw showed that she was a force to be weakened with. Taylor Swift was only sixteen when her first record came out. Now she is twenty and shows no signs of slowing down. Her third record is about to come out and the anticipation is growing everyday for it. She is one of those artist that if you buy her CD you will like every song not just one or two of them.

The last but defiantly not least are The Jonas Brothers. If you don't know these three guys you must have been living under a rock for the past few years. The brother band is made up by Kevin, Joe, and Nick. Their first big hit was for the Disney Channel. The song was Year 3000 which showed that these three brothers were here to stay for a while.  These three heartthrobs are from the best state in the United States, New Jersey. The three band mates form one of the biggest trios of all time. These three brother don't just corner the market in music. They also have their own television show and have had many movies under their belts too. You can't go anywhere without hear on of their songs or seeing a poster of them.

1990 Music

In the 90's many things happened in music. The most powerful force in 90's music was the development of the boy band. Boy bands were and staple in any adolescent to I would say early twenties girl's life. The three main boy bands of the 90's in my opinion were NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and 98 Degrees. All the boy bands consisted of four to five member to make the perfect harmonies.

NSYNC was formed in 1995 in Orlando, Florida. Also in Orlando two years before in 1993 Backstreet Boys came together. In Los Angeles in 1998 four you guys from Ohio joined together to form the boy band of 98 Degrees. All of these bands had many chart topping hits under their belts. Together they have sold I imagine over many of millions of dollars.

1980 Music

1980 was a very crucial decade for music. In the eighties you had the development of MTV which people called illustrated radio. MTV made music more accessible to people and previewed music for people that wasn't out yet. Along with MTV music was being used more and more in television and movie to help explain the story or mood the show or movie was trying to display. Music became a staple in movie and television ion the eighties and continued on from there.

Music in the eighties had one major difference from the 1970s and years before that, and that was the development of hair band and the rock ballad. A few examples of hairbands are White Snake, Poison, Def Leopard, and Motley Crue. The band that had the best rock ballad was White Snake with their song Here I Go Again this song is a true rock ballad. Along with the rock ballads these bands had some killer songs. Many of these band have since broken up gotten back together done a tour and broken up again. No matter how many time these their songs still live on and always will, the songs were classics before they put on to the radio or in television and movies.

1970 Music

1970 was the decade of the Bee Gees, ABBA, Donna Summer, and many more. The 70's paved the way for many of the musical band/groups of today. They introduced the performance style, fashion, and style of music still used today. The songs of the 70's were the stepping stones to many of music's big artists today. 1970 was the age of disco and rock n' roll. Many of the big players in this time were from many different type of music. ABBA was one of the top disco groups of the 70's. they had many hits but their biggest on was Dancing Queen.

The Bee Gees had many hits in the disco and pop music types. They have had hits from the 70's to today. The Bee Gees had many hits over the years one of their biggest was Stayin' Alive. It was in one of the biggest movies that stared John Travolta , Saturday Night Fever. Donna Sumer was a force in the 70's. She went solo from her trio the Supremes. Her big hit the 70's was Hot Stuff. This song is still very popular today.
